女孩效應:找準自己的職業優勢

SHANGHAI women hold more jobs than men in the service sector because of their advantages in communication and attention to detail, the Shanghai Women's Federation told at an international forum on women's development today.

上海女性在服務行業中比男性擁有更多的就業機會，因爲她們在人際溝通和關注細節方面更具優勢，上海婦女聯合會今天在婦女發展國際論壇上說。

The forum, themed "the Role of She in Transformation and Development," gathered about 300 Chinese and foreign scholars and experts to discuss women's leadership and change of role in economic, cultural and environmental fronts.

本次論壇的主題爲“女性在轉型發展中的作用”，聚集了約300名中外學者、專家共同探討女性的領導力以及她們在經濟、文化和環境方面的角色轉變。

Statistic show the employment of women in the city's service industry was a 6.3 percentage higher than that of men. Education, health, banking and creative industries have opened up field for women's career development, said Zhang Lili, president of the federation.

數據顯示，在全市服務行業女性就業率比男性高6.3個百分點。聯合會主席張麗麗說：“教育、衛生、銀行和創意產業爲女性的職業發展開闢了領域。”

Zhang said women can play a key role in those industries, especially when Shanghai is shifting from an economy-oriented society to a service-oriented society.

張說，女性在這些行業中發揮了關鍵作用，尤其是上海正從經濟建設型社會向服務型社會轉變。

"The transformation will bring women more opportunities and challenges as well. It is time for woman to change their role and contribute more to the society," Zhang said.

“這個轉變也將會帶給女性帶來更多的機會和挑戰，這是女性改變自身角色以及爲社會多作貢獻的時候，”張說。
