相伴逾半世紀 女子與寵物烏龜成最老的朋友

The bond between a pet and its owner is something very special. Especially if it's a bond that has lasted nearly 60 years.

一隻寵物和它主人之間的關係是非常特別的。尤其是當這種關係已經持續了將近60年。

Jeanna Smith of Minnesota got her pet tortoise George as a birthday present when she was 10 years old.

明尼蘇達州的珍娜·史密斯在10歲時得到一份生日禮物--寵物烏龜喬治。

Now she's 65 and she and George are still the best of friends.

現在她65歲了，她和喬治仍然是最好的朋友。

When Smith was younger, George rode in her bicycle basket, tagged along on family vacations and even dressed up in matching bee costumes for Halloween.

And according to Smith, George is thriving.

She has a daughter and three grandchildren, and since tortoises can live up to 100 years in captivity, she says he will go to them when she's gone.

史密斯有一個女兒和三個孫子，因爲烏龜的壽命長達百年之久，所以當她“走”後，喬治可以交給他們照顧。
