我國已有89座城市的城區人口規模突破百萬大關。

27 cities, mainly first- and second-tier cities such as municipalities and provincial capital cities, had an urban population of more than 3 million people.

其中27座城市的城區人口超過3百萬人，這些城市主要是直轄市、省會城市等一、二線城市。

12 cities with an urban population of more than 5 million are Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Chongqing, Wuhan, Chengdu, Nanjing, Zhengzhou, Hangzhou and Shenyang.
