陸克文再度出任澳大利亞總理
The latest act of political bloodletting in Australian politics has led to Kevin Rudd winning back the leadership of the ruling Labor party from Julia Gillard, prime minister, just 80 days before a national election.
澳大利亞政壇再次上演激烈爭奪戰。陸克文(Kevin Rudd)在距全國大選僅剩80天時，從總理朱莉婭•吉拉德(Julia Gillard)手中奪回執政黨工黨的領導權。Mr Rudd beat Ms Gillard in a leadership election she called in an attempt to end the bitter infighting that has divided the Labor party. The vote came three months before a national election when the party is expected to suffer a heavy defeat. Mr Rudd won the ballot of Labor MPs 57 to 45.
此次黨首票決是吉拉德要求舉行的，以平息一場讓工黨內部分裂的激烈內訌，結果在這次由工黨下院議員參與投票的票決中，陸克文以57票對45票擊敗了吉拉德。3個月後，澳大利亞將舉行全國大選，工黨預計將遭遇慘敗。Ms Gillard’s dramatic decision to call a third leadership ballot came after Rudd supporters circulated a petition aimed at getting her to stand down.
吉拉德之所以突然決定要求舉行第三次黨首票決，是因爲之前陸克文的支持者散發了一份請願書，希望趕她下臺。
“We cannot have the government or the Labor party go to the next election with a person leading the party and a person floating around as the potential alternative leader,” Ms Gillard told Sky News as she announced the ballot.
在宣佈票決時，吉拉德對天空新聞電視臺(Sky News)表示：“在政府和工黨即將迎來下一屆大選之際，不能出現一個人領導着黨、另一個人作爲潛在的替代黨魁在一旁虎視眈眈的局面。”Ms Gillard’s fate was sealed after Bill Shorten, the minster for employment and workplace relations and the captain of her Praetorian guard, switched sides. The result means Ms Gillard will retire from politics after the election.
澳大利亞就業與勞資關係部部長、吉拉德的“禁衛軍隊長”比爾•肖頓(Bill Shorten)在投票中倒戈，意味着吉拉德必輸無疑。這一結果意味着吉拉德將在此次票決後退出政壇。The new leader reached out to young voters in his acceptance speech: “Please come back and listen afresh,” he said, standing next to his deputy Anthony Albanese. “With your energy we can start cooking with gas.”

Labor has a slim majority in the lower house because of support from one green MP and several independents.
陸克文必須向澳大利亞總督證明自己能夠在下院中贏得多數支持、以維持工黨的執政黨地位，否則就只能提前召集大選。由於得到一名綠黨下院議員和幾名獨立議員的支持，工黨目前在下院佔據微弱多數。Mr Rudd will have to replace a handful of government ministers, all of whom said they would not serve in his cabinet. The most prominent among them is Wayne Swan, treasurer and deputy prime minister.
