【英文原文】
摘要：一間小雜貨店對面新開了一家大型連鎖商店，這家商店即將打垮雜貨店的生意。
Across a small drugstore, a large chain store was newly opened and would defeat the business of the small drugstore.
The shopkeeper of the drugstore went to a priest to talk about his concern. The priest suggested, “You stand in front of your store every day to pray for it to prosper, and then turn around to pray for that chain store likewise, that is, to embrace your enemy in public.”
Some days later, as what the shopkeeper worried, his store shut down, but he was appointed as the manager of the chain store, and earned more than before.

一間小雜貨店對面新開了一家大型連鎖商店，這家商店即將打垮雜貨店的生意。
雜貨店老闆找牧師訴苦。牧師建議他：“每天早上站在商店門前祈禱你的商店生意興隆，然後轉過身去，也同樣祈禱那家連鎖商店，也就是當衆擁抱你的敵人。”
一段日子後，正如這人當初所擔心的，他的商店關門了，但他卻被聘爲那家連鎖店的經理，而且收入比以前更好。
