　外國英語趣味故事：金婚紀念日

A couple was celebrating their golden wedding anniversary. Their domestic tranquility had long been the talk of the town. A local newspaper reporter was inquiring as to the secret of their long and happy marriage.

一對夫婦正在慶祝他們的金婚紀念日，他們多年平靜的生活，成爲小鎮上流傳的佳話，一個小報記者要求採訪他們這段長久而幸福的婚姻的祕密。

"Well，it dates back to our honeymoon,”explained the man. "We visited the Grand Canyon and took a trip down to the bottom on the canyon by pack mule. We hadn’t gone too far when my wife's mule stumbled. My wife quietly said, ‘That's once' proceeded a little further and the mule stumbled again. Once more my wife quietly said, `That's twice.’We hadn't gone a half一mile when the mule stumbled the third time. My wife quietly removed a revolver from her pocket and shot the mule dead. I started to protest over her treatment of the mule when she looked at me and quietly said, `That's once'.”

外國英語趣味故事：休息喝咖啡的時間

A blonde was recently hired at an office. Her first task was to go out for coffee. Eager to do well her first day on the job, she grabbed a large thermos and hurried to a nearby coffee shop. She held up the thermos and the coffee shop worker quickly came over to take her order. She asked, "Is this big enough to hold six cups of coffee?" The coffee shop worker looked at the thermos, hesitated a few seconds, then finally replied, "Yeah. It looks like about six cups to me.”

一個辦公室裏最近來了一位金髮女孩，她的第一項任務就是出去買咖啡。她想第一天上班就出色地完成任務，於是抓起了一個大保溫瓶，迅速地跑向附近的咖啡店。見她手舉保溫瓶，咖啡店的店員馬上走過來幫她訂咖啡，女孩問:“這個能盛下6杯咖啡嗎?”店員看了看暖瓶，遲疑了一下說:“我看能盛下6杯。”

"Oh good!” the blonde sighed in relief. "Then give me two regular, two black, and two decaf.”

“啊，太好了!”女孩放心的嘆了口氣。“好，那就給我兩杯黑咖啡，兩杯普通的咖啡，兩杯德卡夫咖啡……”

外國英語故事：期末考試

Maxine, the platinum blonde, reported for her final examination which consisted of Yes/No answers. She took her seat in the examination hall, stared at the question paper, and then in a bit of inspiration, took a quarter out of her purse. She started tossing the coin and marking the answer sheet" Yes" for heads and "No" for tails. Within 30 minutes she was all done whereas the rest of the class was still sweating it out. During the last few minutes of the exam period，Maxine frantically started flipping the coin again.

麥西尼有一頭銀白色秀髮，正在參加期末考試，試卷上的題目只有“對”和“不對”兩種答案。她在考場裏坐了下來開始答卷，這時她靈機一動，從錢包裏拿出了一枚兩角五分的硬幣，往上拋硬幣，出現正面就填“對”，反面就填“不對”。只用了30分鐘的時間，她就做完了，而此時別的同學還在冥思苦想。但離考試完畢還有最後幾分鐘時，麥西尼又開始瘋狂地拋硬幣。

The moderator, concerned about what she was doing, stopped by her desk and asked if she was ok.

監考官對她的所作所爲很好奇，便走到她的桌旁，問她是否有問題。

"Oh yes, I' m fine. I finished the exam a half hour ago一but,”explaining the frantic coin tossing, "I' m going back through and checking my answers!”

“我還好，半小時前我就答完了，現在我想從後往前的再檢查一遍。”她這樣解釋拋硬幣的原因。
