拐賣兒童：trafficking in children

In December, 2007, China’s State Council issued the National Plan of Action on Combating Trafficking in Women and Children.
2007年12月，國務院印發了《中國反對拐賣婦女兒童行動計劃》。
trafficking（n. 非法交易）泛指各種非法買賣，例如human trafficking（人口買賣）、drug trafficking（毒品交易）、wildlife trafficking（野生動物非法交易）等。不過，販賣奴隸是個例外，一般用slave trade，而不是slave trafficking。大約是因爲在歷史上奴隸交易曾經是合法的。
中國
在我國，拐賣兒童和拐賣婦女並稱拐賣婦女、兒童罪，處罰從五年以上有期徒刑至死刑不等。刑法第240條規定：
Whoever abducts and traffics in a woman or child shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than five years but not more than 10 years and shall also be fined; if he falls under any of the following categories, he shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than 10 years or life imprisonment and shall also be fined or sentenced to confiscation of property; if the circumstances are especially serious, he shall be sentenced to death and also to confiscation of property.
拐賣婦女、兒童的，處五年以上十年以下有期徒刑，並處罰金；有下列情形之一的，處十年以上有期徒刑或者無期徒刑，並處罰金或者沒收財產；情節特別嚴重的，處死刑，並處沒收財產。
加拿大
在加拿大，非法買賣未成年人將被判處5年以上有期徒刑至終身監禁不等。1985年頒佈的《刑法典》（Criminal Code）中規定：
(a)to imprisonment for life and to a minimum punishment of imprisonment for a term of six years if they kidnap, commit an aggravated assault or aggravated sexual assault against, or cause death to, the victim during the commission of the offence; or (b) to imprisonment for a term of not more than fourteen years and to a minimum punishment of imprisonment for a term of five years, in any other case.
(a)有綁架、嚴重人身傷害、嚴重性侵，或導致被害人死亡等情形時，處以6年以上有期徒刑，最高處以終身監禁；(b)其它情形處以5年以上、14年以下有期徒刑。
美國
美國的法律體系比較複雜，除了通行全國的聯邦法之外，各州還有各自的法律。在《美國法典》（U.S. Code）中規定，販賣人口將被處以20年以下有期徒刑，情節嚴重者最高可被處以終身監禁：
Whoever knowingly and willfully holds to involuntary servitude or sells into any condition of involuntary servitude, any other person for any term, or brings within the United States any person so held, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both. If death results from the violation of this section, or if the violation includes kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse or the attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, the defendant shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for any term of years or life, or both.
違反對方意願蓄意奴役他人、出售他人使其被迫被奴役、或使他人進入美國並被奴役，將被處以罰金或20年以下有期徒刑。如造成死亡，或包括綁架、蓄意綁架、嚴重性虐待、蓄意嚴重性虐待、蓄意謀殺等情形，將被處以罰金或最高終身監禁，或同時處以罰金和監禁。
