在今天的課堂上，我將要來學習的是含有nod的一個idiom。它可以表示：to be chosen for something 。那麼，可以表示這個意思的習語是什麼呢？請看下面的例句。

例句-1：Her daughter got the nod as Miss Hong Kong six years ago.

例句-2：Last year he got the nod to attend a conference of advanced workers with one voice.

在上面的例句中，我們可以看到都用到了同一個短語：get the nod。這就揭開了我們開篇的疑惑——可以用來表示“to be chosen for（被選中）”這個意思又含有nod這個詞語的習語是：get the nod。

首先，我們來細看Example One——Her daughter got the nod as Miss Hong Kong six years ago. 這句話是說：她女兒六年前當選爲香港小姐。表示“被選中作爲（什麼職位，榮譽稱號等）”，在get the nod後面用介詞as。句中是got the nod as Miss Hong Kong（被選中爲香港小姐）。

接下來，我們來細看Example Two——Last year he got the nod to attend a conference of advanced workers with one voice. 這句話說：去年他被一致推選出席了先進工作者會議。在這個句子中，我們注意三個要點。

第一個要點是表示“被選中去做某事”，使用動詞不定結構，即：get the nod to do something。句中說到的是get the nod to attend a conference of advanced workers，to attend a conference of advanced workers是動詞不定式做目的狀語。
