Sharpay: Again? He was hanging around with that new girl andthey were both looking at the list. There's something freaky about her. Where did she say she's from?
Ryan: Wow! An Einsteinette. So why do you think she's interested in our musical?
Sharpay: I'm not sure that she is. And we needn't concern ourselves with amateurs. But... there is no harm in making certain that Gabriella's welcome to school activities that are... well, appropriate for her. After all, she loves pi.

莎佩：不知道她是不是真的感興趣。我們也沒必要跟外行人磨記。不過……確保凱碧在學校某些……適合她的活動中很受歡迎也……沒錯呀。說到底，她可喜歡π了。

【口語解說】hang around/out

hang around其實是“在附近徘徊,盪來盪去”——around不就是附近、周圍的意思麼？這段劇情裏面加上了with那就是“在某人周圍盪來盪去、黏在某人周圍”那樣。
hang out呢在口語裏面更常用，通常有一點點“約會”的感覺，但是沒有date那麼正式，適合那種稍微有點感覺、關係略比朋友曖昧一點的男女生一起出去玩。或者就是一羣死黨什麼的逛街之類。它和around的區別就是它是“出去”的，out嘛。經常聽到的一個詞。
