Vicky and Cristina decided to spend the summer in Barcelona. Cristina, who spent the last six months writing, directing and acting in a 12-minute film which she then hated had just broken up with yet another boyfriend, and longed for a change of scenery. Everything fell into place when a distant relative of Vicky's family who lived in Barcelona offered to put both girls up for July and August.

fall into place

fall into place是個常用的習語，可以用來表示之前不明白的事情現在水落石出、恍然大悟、真相大白。比方：Once I knew he had a thing for her, everything fell into place.“知道他對她有意思，我才終於恍然大悟。”或者是一切都安排妥帖，非常滿意——水到渠成、塵埃落定。舉例：Everything fell into place when the house was sold.“房子賣了之後，啥問題都解決了。”另外這個習語也能說成fall in place，意思是一樣的。
