　　Where is a good place for a first date? 第一次約會的好去處?

Jingwei: Hi, I'm Jingwei.

京薇：嗨，我是京薇。

Joseph: I'm Joseph.

約瑟夫：我是約瑟夫。

Jingwei: And we're both from Singapore, and today our question is what's a good place for a first date in Singapore?

京薇：我們兩個人都來自新加坡，今天要討論的問題是在新加坡，哪裏是首次約會的好去處?

Joseph: Wow, OK, that's a tricky question. Well, what do girls think is the most important thing for the first date?

約瑟夫：哇哦，好，這是一個敏感的問題。就首次約會來說，女生認爲最重要的是什麼?

Jingwei: For me, personally, good conversation, definitely. Some one who is funny enough to impress me. So a good place might be somewhere where you can actually hear each other, so no, not clubs, possibly the Esplanade Park.

京薇：我個人認爲愉悅的交談最重要。對方應該是足以令我印象深刻的風趣的人。這樣看來，可以聽清楚對方談話的地方可能更適合一些，不能去俱樂部，海濱公園是個不錯的選擇。

Joseph: Yeah, I quite like Esplanade. There are interesting places there like the cookie museum which is quite a novel experience actually, because they have cookies with a lot of local flavors as well as exotic flavors, so you could have some interesting conversations about the place. As for me, I prefer Clark Quay because it's some place that's rather quiet.

Joseph: Nice joints we can grab a bite, so I recommend Clark Quay. It's Esplanade for you Jingwei?

Geaw: Hello, this is the video for , and my name is Geaw from Thailand.

Shon: And my name is Shon from Uzbekistan.

Geaw: Yep, the question is what is the ideal way to spend the day?

Shon: Well, good question. My ideal day off... how do I spend? Well, I wake up. I don't want to really wake up early in the morning. I take some time for sleeping. Probably I wake up at ten or eleven o'clock. And I would prefer to go out for lunch with my friends, and after then probably three, four o'clock, I would prefer to go for a park to play badminton or to play soccer, basketball with my friends, and after that probably going to swimming to the pool and have a rest, enjoy, but sometimes go a walk with my dog.

肖恩：嗯，好問題。我理想的休假，會怎麼度過?嗯，我不想早起。我會多睡一會兒。可能在10點或11點起來。我希望和朋友出去吃午餐，之後下午三四點左右，我想和朋友去公園打羽毛球、踢足球或打籃球，然後去泳池游泳，接下來休息一下，享受美好時光，有時我可能會去遛狗。

Geaw: You are very outgoing.

Shon: Yep.

Geaw: And like for me, it will be like, I should just wake up early in the morning, make myself a cup of coffee finish some books and like play with my dogs. Like let things go slowly. No worries. I just don't have to think about anything outside of my house at all, something like that.

　　What is your favorite Chinese dish? 最喜歡的中國菜?

Jingwei: Hi, I'm Jingwei.

Jingwei: We are both from Singapore. Today's question is: What's your favorite Chinese dish?

京薇：我們兩個人都來自新加坡。今天要討論的問題是：你最喜歡的中國菜是什麼?

Joseph: Well, OK, a Chinese dinner would normally have about eight to ten courses, and out of them I guess my favorite dish would be broccoli with scallops. What about you, Jingwei?

約瑟夫：好，中式晚餐一般有8到10道菜，在這些菜中我最喜歡的是西蘭花炒帶子。你呢，京薇?

Jingwei: That's kind of boring, no? I like longevity noodles.

京薇：那有點兒無聊，不是嗎?我喜歡長壽麪。

Joseph: Longevity?

約瑟夫：長壽?

Jingwei: Yeah, it's called ei-mien. And they usually come in one long strand, one long continuous strand, and it's supposed to symbolize like never-ending life.

京薇：對，那被稱爲一根面。通常只有一根長麪條，一根不斷的長麪條，這被認爲是生命長青的象徵。

Joseph: And I don't get that in my dinners. So I guess a shorter life for me if you believe the Chinese. I like scallops and broccoli because scallops are awesome and broccoli is just about the only vegetable I eat. So yeah, together they make a pretty good mix, and that's why it's my favorite Chinese dish.

約瑟夫：我晚餐沒有吃過那個。如果相信那道中國菜的說法，那我想我的壽命可能會短一些。我喜歡西蘭花和帶子，因爲帶子非常好吃，而西蘭花是我唯一吃的蔬菜。兩種食物一起炒非常美味，所以這是我最喜歡的中國菜。
