第一， 情景對話
A: Tom is no match for Jack in Mathematies.
湯姆數學不如傑克。
B: But Jack is no match for Tom in P.E.
傑克體育沒湯姆好。
A: I think math is more important than P.E.
我覺得數學比體育重要。
B: You must have prejudice against P.E. giants.
你對體育好的人有偏見吧。
A: Maybe. But for the best student, I still think Jack is the right choise.
或許是吧，我還是覺得應該選傑克爲最佳學生。
B: I also will vote for Jack, just because of his good behavior at the school not only for such a reason. And I don't see the point in having prejudice against P.E. giants.
我也會給他投票的，只不過是因爲他在學校表現好，而不僅只是學習好這一個原因。我認爲對體育好的人有偏見沒道理。
第二， 詞彙拾貝
be no match for somebody：不如……，敵不過……，不是某人的對手
用法：表示做某事不是某人的對手，不如某人，在短語後用介詞in，即：be no matchh for someone in something。
e.g. You're no match for him and he plays tennis far better than you.
你不是他的對手，他打網球比你強得多。
e.g. He felt once more that he was no match for her in selfcontrol and subtlety.
他又一次覺得自己在涵養和機智上都不是她的對手。
e.g. Even with a knige, he would be no match for William Strickland.
就是拿着把刀，他也不是William Strickland的對手。
第三， 語彙積累
1. have prejudice against somedoy/somethign：對……有偏見
e.g. I want to make it clear that I have no prejudice against you.
我要表明我對你沒有偏見。
e.g. I think you have a prejudice against Chinese traditional medicines.
我認你對傳統中藥藥有偏見。
2. vote for：投票贊成……
e.g. I gave him my pledge that I would vote for him.
我向他保證我將投他的票。
e.g. Why will the voters vote for you against Boswell,Mrs. Stewart?
Stewart太太，爲什麼選民會投票支持你而反對Boswell？
3. see the point of something：明白做某事的意義，明白做某事的必要
e.g. I don' t see the point of waiting for her, she is probably not coming.
我不知道等她有什麼意義，她可能不來了。
e.g. I can't see the point of keeping trying to persuade him to go to the party .
我覺得不停盡力勸說他去參加晚會沒有必要。
4. see the point：明白要點
e.g. I still don't see the point you emphasized.
我仍然弄不清楚你所強調的要點。
e.g. I didn't see the point of his last remark.
我不理解他最後那句話的意思。
