在fair shake裏，shake是一個名詞。If everybody has a fair shake , they all have equal opportunities to do something. Fair shake其實是指和每個人進行同樣誠實和公正的交易，也可以理解爲公平對待。這個短語來源於一種用骰子玩的賭博。參加賭博的人先要把兩顆骰子放在兩隻手當中搖一搖，然後再往桌上一撒，看看點數加起來一共有多少，以定輸贏。我們來看看fair shake的例句。He's a dealer who'll give you a fair shake.
