1. 解詞釋義

Account有很多不同的解釋，它既可以做名詞，也可以做動詞用。Bring sb to account中的account是名詞，意思是“解釋，說明”，整個短語的意思是“要求某人做解釋”“要求某人做說明”“唯某人是問”，帶有“要某人負責，或者是責怪批評某人”的意味。因此，對話中的“The teacher will bring you to account.”的意思是“老師會要求你解釋的。”
