"布朗尼加分"口語課堂:趕潮流還是隨大流

現在無論你想做什麼事兒，大到求職，小到如何去除衣服上的一塊兒污漬，都能從網上找到各種tips。對於新年我們該如何制定自己的目標，如何去實現目標也有人幫我們整理了注意事項。其中一條是這樣的：Don't run with the crowd and go with the usual resolutions. Instead think about what you really want out of life. 不要隨大流制定普通的目標。思考你生命中真正渴望的東西。

Rose個人還是很贊同這樣的說法。適合大衆的，不一定就是適合自己的。今天，我們就來看看，這個“趕潮流；隨大流”還可以用哪個方式表達。

首先我們瞭解一下單詞bandwagon, 它的意思是“樂隊花車；宣傳車；流行；潮流”。那麼, jump on the bandwagon，“跳上了宣傳車；跳到了流行浪潮裏”就是今天我們要介紹的短語了。比如這個小對話：

A: You look different today. Something I can’t tell but strange. 你今天看上去哪兒不太一樣。我弄不太清楚，但是就覺得哪兒怪怪的。

B: The cosmetic contacts. Must be the cosmetic contacts. 美瞳。一定是美瞳的原因。

A: What? 什麼？

B: That’s normal. I saw a college boy tried wearing grey cosmetic contacts yesterday. And that’s quite cool. So I suppose I may as well jump on the bandwagon. 這很正常啊。我還見過一個大學男生戴着灰色的美瞳呢。看上去挺酷的啊。我就琢磨着，我也可以趕趕時髦嘛。

再來看一個句子。

Sometimes you just can’t go with the flow and jump on the bandwagon. You have to know what the wagon is. 有時你就是不能盲從，“跳上彩車”。你必須知道“彩車”往哪兒走。

另外，在西方一些競選活動中都會使用花車。所以，跳上花車也象徵着支持某一方。比如：

After the latest polls I consider that Green is going to win. Let’s jump on the bandwagon right now and endorse the man before we get left behind. 根據最近的民意調查，我想格林會當選的。我們得馬上表態支持他，否則我們就會落後於形勢了。

好了，不管跳上車的目的是趕潮流還是無意特別，只想隨大流，弄清自己適合什麼，想要什麼，才重要。
