1.“go around”在這裏表示“(消息、故事、玩笑等)四處流傳”,既可以用作及物動詞詞組也可以作不及物動詞詞組。例如:A rumour is going around that I am having an affair with my boss.(謠言四處散播,說我和我的老闆關係曖昧。)There is a lot of gossip going
around the village.(村子裏流傳着很多謠言。)
2.“let go”表示“不批評或懲罰,不再追究”。例如:OK, I'll let it go this time.(好吧,這次我就不追究了。)另外,還可以表示“
不再擔心,不再想,放手”,例如:It's time to let the past go.(過去的就該讓它過去了,別想了。)此外,”let go”還表示“鬆開,
