舊金山冷知識：舊金山人不能葬在舊金山

墓地在舊金山是稀有景觀，現在市裏只能看到兩塊很小的墓地，而且不會再有新的了，因爲舊金山在100年前就禁止了土葬，目的是爲了節約土地。

那舊金山人死後都去了哪？他們都去了南邊一個叫科爾馬 Colma 的小鎮，這座小鎮基本就是爲了給舊金山做墓地才建的，現在墳墓的數量比活人居民多1000倍，到處都是公墓。

In 1901, the city outlawed burials due to space issues. Because of this restriction, only two cemeteries remain. Most of its cemeteries are in Colma, Calif. There, the dead outnumber the living by over 1000 to 1. Colma is a small incorporated town in San Mateo County, California, on the San Francisco Peninsula in the San Francisco Bay Area. The population was 1,792 at the 2010 census. The town was founded as a necropolis in 1924.
