投資規模比肩美國 中國'腦計劃'預計年底出臺大綱

China plans to launch its own version of BRAIN, or Brain Research through Advancing Innovative Neurotechnologies, by the end of this year, said Muming Poo, director of the Institute of Neuroscience at the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

中國科學院神經科學研究所所長蒲慕明近日表示，中國計劃在今年年底之前推出自己的“腦計劃”，即“通過推動創新性神經技術進行腦研究”的計劃。

The China Brain Project has been in planning for three years and is now included as a key science and technology project of the 13th Five Year Plan, Poo reveAled.

蒲慕明透露，中國“腦計劃”已經醞釀了三年，目前已被列入“十三五”規劃重大科技項目。

In 2015, Chinese scientists proposed targeted research into the neural basis of cognitive function, with the additional goals of improving diagnosis and prevention of brain diseases, and driving artificial intelligence research through computing and system simulation.

2015年，中國科學家提出就認知功能的神經基礎展開針對性研究，其他目標還有改善腦部疾病的診斷和預防，以及通過計算和系統模擬推進人工智能研究。

Poo said China's investment in the project would be equivalent to the amount allocated for the US BRAIN initiative announced by the Obama administration in 2013, and that China would encourage private capital participation.

蒲慕明表示，中國“腦計劃”的投資規模將與2013年奧巴馬政府宣佈的美國“腦計劃”的撥款數額相當，中國將鼓勵民間資本參與其中。

Scientists believe the China Brain Project would increase understanding of the reasons behind Alhzeimer's, depression and other diseases, and also provide a huge boost to the development of artificial intelligence in China.

科學家們認爲，中國“腦計劃”將會加深對阿爾海默症、抑鬱症和其他疾病背後病因的理解，同時也會極大地促進中國人工智能的發展。

The Chinese Academy of Sciences kicked off its Mapping Brain Functional Connections (MBFC) project in 2012 to focus on the analysis and simulation of the connectome pathway and network structure of specific brain functions.

2012年，中國科學院啓動了它的腦功能聯結圖譜計劃，以聚焦特定腦功能的連接組路徑和網絡結構的分析和仿真。
