希臘前總理遭遇郵件炸彈襲擊

Lucas Papademos, the former Greek prime minister who was a leading player in his country’s troubled financial bailout, has been injured in an apparent letter bomb attack.

希臘前總理盧卡斯?帕帕季莫斯(Lucas Papademos)在一次明顯的信件炸彈襲擊中受傷。他曾經是希臘陷入困境的金融紓困的重要人物。

Mr Papademos was hit by a blast when he opened an envelope while in his car in central Athens on Thursday. His driver and a security guard were also wounded. Greek authorities said their injuries did not appear life-threatening.

週四在雅典市中心，帕帕季莫斯在車上打開一個信封時被炸彈擊中。他的司機和一名保鏢也受了傷。希臘政府表示，他們的傷勢似乎沒有生命危險。

The 69-year-old economist and central banker became caretaker prime minister in 2011 in the turmoil of the country’s debt crisis, when he oversaw the largest debt restructuring in history and helped secure a 174bn rescue plan from sceptical European partners and the International Monetary Fund. He was previously a vice-president of the European Central Bank.

這位現年69歲的經濟學家和央行官員在2011年希臘債務危機的動盪中擔任過渡政府總理，當時他主持了史上最大規模的債務重組，並幫助希臘從持懷疑態度的歐洲夥伴和國際貨幣基金組織(IMF)那裏爭取到一份1740億歐元的援救計劃。他之前擔任過歐洲央行(ECB)副行長。

The explosion happened just a few minutes after Mr Papademos left the Bank of Greece, where he was meeting Yiannis Stournaras, the bank’s governor. Mr Stournaras visited Mr Papademos in hospital and described the attack as “cowardly”.

此次爆炸在帕帕季莫斯離開希臘央行(Bank of Greece)幾分鐘後發生，他在央行與行長揚尼斯?斯托納拉斯(Yiannis Stournaras)會面。斯托納拉斯前往醫院探望了帕帕季莫斯，他稱此次攻擊是“懦夫懦弱”行爲。
