H7N9: 中國禽流感死亡病例增至17例

Chinese officials reported one more death and an additional five infections from an outbreak of a deadly new form of avian flu.

中國官員披露說，H7N9禽流感新增一例死亡病例，五例感染病例。

The official Xinhua news agency said Wednesday that the number of deaths from the H7N9 bird flu totaled 17, compared with 16 as of Tuesday evening. The number of infections rose to 82 from 77.

新華社週三報道說，H7N9禽流感死亡病例升至17例，較週二晚間的16例增加一例。感染病例從77例增至82例。

Four of the new infections occurred in China's eastern Zhejiang province and one in the financial capital of Shanghai. Though there were signs over the weekend that the outbreak had spread to Beijing in the north and Henan province in the country's interior, the new cases occurred in the same portion of eastern China where the outbreak has been concentrated since it was first disclosed on March 31.

新增病例中有四例是在浙江，一例在上海。儘管上週末有跡象顯示H7N9禽流感北上至北京和內陸河南，但新增病例都是發生在3月31日H7N9禽流感病例首次披露以來所集中的中國東部地區。

Xinhua said that five H7N9 patients had been discharged from hospitals. Among them was the 7-year-old girl in Beijing who on Saturday become the first confirmed case in the nation's capital.

Disease experts both inside and outside China have said the new H7N9 bird flu strain doesn't appear to be transmitted from human to human, which has made previous strains of bird flu and swine flu more dangerous.

中國國內和國外的疾病專家都說，新型H7N9禽流感似乎沒有出現人傳人。之前的禽流感和豬流感因出現人際間傳播而變得更加危險。
