There is a garden in her face
Where roses and white lilies grow;
A heavenly paradise is that place
Wherein All pleasant fruits do flow.
There cherries grow which none may buy,
Till "Cherry ripe" themselves do cry.

Those cherries fairly do enclose
Of orient pearl a double row,
Which when her lovely laughter shows,
They look like rose-buds filled with snow;
Yet them nor peer nor prince can buy,
Till "Cherry ripe" themselves do cry.

Her eyes like angels watch them still,
Her brows like bended bows do stand,
Threatening with piercing frowns to kill
All that attempt with eye or hand
Those sacred cherries to come nigh,
Till "Cherry ripe" themselves do cry.

她的臉上有一座花園，
玫瑰百合一齊盛開；
那個地方勝似天堂，
各色鮮果在枝頭搖擺。
裏面還生長着櫻桃，
可這些櫻桃卻無人能買；
除非等到聽見“櫻桃熟了”，
她們自己開始高聲叫賣。

這些櫻桃嬌豔無比，
像玫瑰花蕾鮮紅透着雪白，
迷人的笑聲盪漾，
燦爛的明珠鑲嵌成排。
王子也好，貴族也罷，
可這些櫻桃卻無人能買；
除非等到聽見“櫻桃熟了”，
她們自己開始高聲叫賣。

她的兩眼如天使站崗放哨，
她的雙眉似彎弓嚴陣以待；
她一蹙額便有震懾的威力，
讓人們個個驚慌失態；
那神聖的櫻桃近在面前，
可手不敢動，眼不敢擡；
除非等到聽見“櫻桃熟了”，
她們自己開始高聲叫賣。
