Nicki Minaj has issued an apology following her shocking retirement announcement.

The "Anaconda" hitmaker sent fans into a frenzy on Thursday (September 5) after revealing she was officially leaving the music industry to start a family with Kenneth Petty.

這位《Anaconda》的演唱者週四（9月5日）讓粉絲亂成一片，她宣佈正式退出音樂界，和Kenneth Petty組建家庭。

The original tweet has since been deleted and replaced with an apology, in which she acknowledges she could have been a little more empathetic.

"I'm still right here. Still madly in love with you guys & you know that," the rapper wrote on Twitter. "In hindsight, this should've been a Queen Radio discussion & it will be.

She also promised another fan that she'll be addressing the news on her radio show, Queen Radio, very soon.

Meanwhile, TMZ reports Minaj's retirement news doesn't make much sense considering she's currently in the studio working on an album.

同時TMZ（美國在線旗下的一個娛樂新聞網站）報道稱考慮到麻辣雞正在錄音室裏錄製新專輯，所以她的退休消息根本沒什麼意義。

Apparently, she even "made plans to record with several artists in the past few days."

顯然她甚至“在過去幾天裏還計劃要和幾位藝人合作錄製”。

So is Minaj really retiring? We'll have to wait for her to explain, but she wouldn't be the first rapper to announce their retirement only to make a "comeback" soon afterward.
