Burn是“燃燒，燒着”的意思，burn up可以作爲“燃起來，旺起來”解，而burn sb up的字面意思是“把某人點燃了”，引申爲“使得某人發怒”。給惹怒的對方的怒氣程度要比angry,mad這些詞語要強烈。
