國防部稱美方指責我國維和部隊純屬惡意炒作
China's defense ministry has rejected as "malicious speculation" allegations by a U.S.-based group that Chinese peacekeepers had abandoned their posts in South Sudan in July instead of protecting civilians.
對於美國非政府組織指責中國駐南蘇丹維和部隊在7月份的維和行動中不作爲及未能保護難民安全，中國國防部已經指責其爲惡意炒作。Chinese troops are part of a United Nations peacekeeping mission in South Sudan, which has been ravaged by conflict between rival forces loyal to the President Salva Kiir and rebel leader Riek Machar.
中國部隊是聯合國南蘇丹維和行動的一部分，今年在忠於南蘇丹總統基爾領導的政府軍與反對派領導馬沙爾的部隊發生大規模衝突中遭遇嚴重襲擊。The Center For Civilians in Conflict (CIVIC) said in a report published last week said the Chinese peacekeepers abandoned their posts in the South Sudanese capital of Juba on July 11, a day after a rocket-propelled grenade had exploded near a Chinese armored personnel carrier, killing two Chinese soldiers.
非政府組織“衝突中的平民”上週發表的報告稱，7月11日，中國維和部隊放棄了其在南蘇丹首都朱巴的駐營地，而就在前一天，一枚火箭榴彈在中國維和步兵營內的步戰車附近爆炸，造成2名中國士兵死亡。
Yang Yujun, a spokesman for China's Ministry of Defence, said in comments published on the ministry's official website that the report was "malicious speculation".
在中國國防部官網上發佈的一項聲明中，國防部發言人楊宇軍表示，這份報告純屬惡意炒作。
He said China's peacekeeping forces carried out the instructions of the U.N. mission in a responsible manner and did its utmost to guarantee the safety of civilians and other peacekeepers.
他表示，中國維和部隊認真負責地執行了聯合國南蘇丹特派團司令部的指示，竭盡全力保護難民以及其他維和人員的安全。After the recent outbreak of conflict in South Sudan, the Chinese peacekeepers had conducted missions in and near the capital Juba to ensure the safety of UN peacekeepers and civilians, Yang noted.
楊宇軍表示，在南蘇丹國內爆發衝突後，中國維和部隊在首都朱巴以及附近地區，執行聯合國保護維和人員和難民的任務。Two Chinese soldiers were killed and five others were injured on July 10 following the escalation of the conflict, Yang added.
楊宇軍補充說道，在7月10日武裝衝突加劇後，有兩名中國維和士兵犧牲，5名士兵受傷。Currently, the United Nations is investigating the performance of the United Nations peacekeeping force in southern Sudan, and making unwarranted accusations against UN peacekeepers and personnel before the findings have been published is irresponsible, he said.
