王俊凱被任命爲聯合國環境署親善大使

Chinese singer and actor Wang Junkai was designated a UN Environment National Goodwill Ambassador in Beijing last Wednesday.

上週三，中國歌手兼演員王俊凱被任命爲聯合國環境署親善大使。

Wang, or Karry Wang, best known for his leading role in the box office blockbuster film Miracles of the Namiya General Store and his hit single Karry On, has spoken out on environmental issues before, making him a leader on the topic among Chinese youth.

王俊凱憑藉在票房大賣的電影《解憂雜貨鋪》裏飾演主角以及推出熱門單曲《煥藍·未來》更爲人所知。他之前曾就環境問題發表過演講，這使其成爲了中國年輕人當中環境話題的領導者。

In his role as goodwill ambassador, Wang will connect with China's youth on some of the most urgent environment issues for their generation, including pollution, air quality, wildlife protection and ecosystem preservation.

作爲親善大使，王俊凱將與中國年輕人在他們這一代最緊迫的環境問題上建立聯繫，這些問題包括污染、空氣質量、野生動物保護和生態系統保護。

"We youth have the responsibility to protect our environment and secure our future, and I am looking forward to learn from and work with the UN family on key environmental issues," Wang said.

王俊凱表示：“我們年輕人有責任保護我們的環境，保護我們的未來，我期待着在關鍵的環境問題上向聯合國大家庭學習和合作。”

"Youth are no longer merely onlookers when it comes to environmental action, nor should they be. I will spare no effort to do everything I can to take care of our earth, and I invite everyone to join me in generating a wave of positive action," he added.

他還表示：“當涉及到環境行動時，年輕人不再僅僅是旁觀者，也不應該是旁觀者。我將不遺餘力地盡我所能來照顧我們的地球，我邀請所有人加入我的行列，共同開展積極的行動。”

The 18-year old performer has amassed more than 40 million followers on Weibo. Both in China and the rest of Southeast Asia, Wang has been one of key voices in the online conversation on the environment.
