紐約時報開設中文新聞網站

The New York Times has launched a Chinese-language news website aimed at China's massive online population.

The paper said in a statement the site, which went active Thursday, hopes to draw readers from China's "growing number of educated, affluent citizens."

China has an estimated 500 million Internet users, making it the world's largest online population.紐約時報開設了一箇中文新聞網站，面向衆多的中國網民。

紐約時報發表聲明說，該報的中文新聞網站星期四開始運作，希望能夠吸引“越來越多受過教育、生活富裕的中國公民”。
