但你知道除了“比特幣”之外，世界上還有一種叫“狗狗幣（Dogecoin）”的數字貨幣嗎？
沒錯，就是那個Doge，大家所熟知的表情包元祖……

This cryptocurrency just reached a $2 Billion market capitalization this weekend. Dogecoin doubled its market capitalization over the past two weeks.

According to Coinmarket, Dogecoin has since cooled to about $1.7 billion after hitting its fresh all-time high.
據Coinmarket稱，“狗狗幣”市值在創下歷史新高後，已經回落到17億美元。
看到這裏，你可能會忍不住懷疑人生，一個狗頭表情包竟然“身價過億”？
雖然“狗狗幣”的命名來源於網絡流行表情包Doge，但人家的確是一種正兒八經的數字貨幣，據維基百科介紹：
Dogecoin was created by programmer Billy Markus from Portland, Oregon, who hoped to create a fun cryptocurrency that could reach a broader demographic than bitcoin. In addition, he wanted to distance it from the controversial history of other coins, mainly bitcoins.
“狗狗幣”是俄勒岡州波特蘭市程序員比利•馬庫斯發明的，他希望打造一種能比“比特幣”吸引更廣泛人羣的加密貨幣。此外，他還希望將這種貨幣與比特幣等其他數字貨幣的“黑歷史”撇清關係。

“是時候投資‘狗狗幣’了，這肯定是下一個大事件。”
帕默爾只是發了個段子，沒想到居然獲得了不少人的回覆和支持……
After receiving several mentions on Twitter, Palmer purchased the domain and added a splash screen, which featured the coin's logo and scattered Comic Sans text. Markus saw the site linked in an IRC chat room, and started efforts to create the currency after reaching out to Palmer.
在推特上得到一些響應後，帕默爾購買了的域名，在網站上放了閃屏，加上了“狗狗幣”的標誌，以及零星的漫畫體文字。馬庫斯在IRC聊天室中看到“狗狗幣”網站的鏈接，在與帕默爾接觸後，他開始努力編制“狗狗幣”。
