看《瘋狂原始人》學地道口語：它飛向了明天

【內容簡介】

     原始人咕嚕一家六口在老爸Grug（尼古拉斯·凱奇 Nicolas Cage 配音）的庇護下生活。每天搶奪鴕鳥蛋爲食，躲避野獸的追擊，每晚聽老爸敘述同一個故事，在山洞裏過着一成不變的生活。大女兒Eep（艾瑪·斯通 Emma Stone 配音）是一個和老爸性格截然相反的充滿好奇心的女孩，她不滿足一輩子留在這個小山洞裏，一心想要追逐山洞外面的新奇世界。
　　沒想到世界末日突然降臨，山洞被毀，一家人被迫離開家園，展開一場全新的旅程。選段中，因爲Guy的出現，Grug感覺自己一家之主的地位被搶走了，女兒崇拜的人漸漸變成了Guy，對此Grug很是嫉妒，這就是爸爸的心啊~

Guy：Looks like we won't have any leftovers.

Eep：What are leftovers?

Guy：You know, when you have so much food to eat you have some left over.

Eep：Well, we never have that much food.

Ugga：Grug, how about a story?

Grug：That's a good idea. How about a story, huh?

Thunk：Yeah, a story! Tell us a story!

Grug：Once upon a time there was a little tiger who lived in a cave with her family. There were a lot of rules, but the big, simple one was to never leave the cave at night. And the door was so heavy, Do you think it would be easy to remember.

Thunk：So easy to remember.

Grug：I know. But while everyone was asleep, she went out anyway. 

Thunk：No!

Grug：Yes! And no sooner than she did her cave was destroyed and everyone had to go on this long, sucky walk, with some weirdo they met, and died! The end.

Guy：I did not see that coming. My stories never end like that.

Thunk：Yes! Two stories in one night!

Guy：Okay, but it won't be as good as Grug's. Once upon a time, there was a beautiful tiger. She lived in a cave with the rest of her family. Her father and mother told her: "You may go anywhere you want, but never go near the cliff, for you could fall.

Grug：And die. Good story.

Guy：But when no one was looking, she would go near the cliff, for the closer she came to the edge, the more she could hear, the more she could see, and the more she could feel. Finally she stood at the very edge, and she saw a light. She leaned to touch it, and she slipped.

Grug：And she fell.

Guy：And she flew.

Thunk：Where did she fly?

Guy：Tomorrow.

Eep：Tomorrow?

Guy：A place with more suns in the sky than you can count.

Thunk：It would be so bright.

Guy：A place not like today, or yesterday. A place where things are better.

Grug：Tomorrow isn't a place. It's... It's... It's... You can't see it!

Guy：Oh, yes it is. I've seen it. That's where I'm going.

Grug：Well, we are going to shut our eyes and sleep. And when we wake up, we're going to find the place that has everything we want.

Eep：Tomorrow?

Grug：A cave.

Guy在某種意義上可以說是原始人中的現代人，他發現Croods一家還是靠狩獵爲生，他就幫助了他們造了一個陷阱來引獵物。當Croods一家狼吞虎嚥地分颳了一整隻獵物時，Guy和他的小夥伴被驚呆了，問了一句：“看來不會有剩菜了吧……”。而Eep根本沒有剩菜這一個概念，Guy解釋說：“你知道的，當你有很多食物吃不完，留下來的就是剩菜。”“leave over”意爲“留下”；“剩下”；“延後”；“推遲”。

2. once upon a time

當Grug覺得女兒崇拜的人漸漸不是他的時候，而Guy又幫助了他們捕捉到了獵物，所以他很是沮喪。而Ugga看出來他的沮喪，所以鼓勵他講一個全家都喜歡聽的故事，於是他結合瞭如今的經歷說到：“從前有一隻小老虎和它的家人住在一個山洞裏，家庭裏面的規矩很多，不過最大也是最簡單的一條規矩就是：不能在晚上離開山洞。門很重，這條規矩應該很容易記住。不過，當大家都睡着了小老虎跑了出去。它剛跑出去，它們的山洞就被毀了。於是大家不得不和一個奇怪的傢伙一起走很遠的路，然後全都死了！”爸爸每次都喜歡講一些有可怕結局的故事來警示家人們要小心翼翼地活着。

Eep早就聽厭了爸爸每次都以死亡作爲結局的故事了，Guy自告奮勇地講起了另一個故事，所有人除了Grug都興致勃勃地圍坐在Guy旁邊聽着故事：“很久以前有一隻美麗的老虎，它和家人一起住在山洞裏。他的爸爸媽媽告訴它：‘你什麼地方都能去，就是不能靠近懸崖，你會掉下去的。’有天趁大家不注意，它來到懸崖上。它越靠近懸崖邊，就能聽見更多，看見更多，感受到更多。最後它站到了懸崖的最邊上。它看見亮光，它探出身子去摸，結果滑倒了，它飛了起來，它飛到了明天。”

當Grug說道那隻美麗的老虎飛向了明天時，Grug不服氣地說道：“明天不是一個地方. 它是...它是看不見的！”Guy卻說：“這地方存在，我看見過。那就是我要去的地方。”看着女兒嚮往的面孔，老爸徹底失控了，趕緊說道：“我們該閉上眼睛睡覺了。醒來後，我們會找到我們要找的那個地方。”“shut one's eyes”意爲“閉上眼睛”。
