大家好，歡迎來到小強英語。某日，小強在看CNN的一則報道的時候，出現了這麼一個句子："Not everyone was on the same page in terms of strategy and operational focus within al Qaeda," the official said.這個句子裏面的on the same page是什麼意思呢？It means to have the same understanding or amount of knowledge.小強覺得，我們可以從兩個方面來理解這個表達。一是指想法一致，理解相同。比如剛剛的這個句子說的就是基地組織內部並非人人對策略和作戰重點有相同的看法。

而另一方面，on the same page也有剛剛所說的have the same amount of knowledge的意思，也就是進度相同、知識相當之類的意思，比如這個句子：

Ideally, we want everyone to go to college, because college gets everyone on the same page.
意思是理想情況下，我們想讓每個人都上大學，因爲大學能讓大家的知識儲備相當。
