毛筆(Chinese brush)是一種源於中國的傳統書寫工具，與墨、紙、硯(ink stone)並稱爲“文房四寶”。毛筆有着悠久的歷史，相傳爲秦始皇的大將蒙恬所創。毛筆筆尖最初用兔毛，後來也用羊、狼、雞、鼠等動物毛，筆管用竹或其他材料製成。在古代，毛筆不僅是一種基本的書寫工具，還被廣泛用於書法(calligraphy)和繪畫創作。幾千年來，它爲創造中華民族光輝燦爛的文化做出了卓越的貢獻。

六級英語翻譯技巧

1.漢語動詞的轉換

漢語動詞的使用頻率遠遠高於英語，這是因爲按照英語句法，受主謂關係的限制，一個簡單句或分句大多隻有一個謂語動詞。而且，英語還可以通過謂語動詞以外各種詞性的詞來體現動詞意義。因此將漢語句子裏的動詞轉換爲英語裏其他詞性的詞是翻譯中的常用技巧之一。

例：這本書反映了30年代的中國社會

譯文:The book is a reflection of Chinese society in the 1930s(將漢語動詞轉換爲英語名詞.

2.漢語名詞的轉換

英語中有很多由名詞派生的動詞，以及由名詞轉用的副詞、形容詞等。在漢譯英時，漢語中的名詞常常可以產生一些轉換,從而更簡潔有力地表達原文。

例：他們盡了最大的努力幫助病號和傷員。

譯文:They did their best to help the sick and the wounded. 漢語名詞轉換爲英語副詞。

3.漢語形容詞的轉換

在漢譯英時，漢語的形容詞往往可以譯成英語中的名詞或副詞，這些名詞或副詞通常具有抽象意義，而且往往由某些形容詞派生而來。

例：我們感到，解決這個複雜的問題是困難的。

譯文:We found difficulty in solving this complicated problem.(漢語形容詞轉換爲英語名詞。

4.漢語副詞的轉換

有時出於修辭和句法結構的需要，往往把漢語中的副詞用英語其他詞性的詞來表達，這也是翻譯中的一個常用技巧例:獨立思考對學習是絕對必須的。
