11月8日，雲南省玉溪市中級人民法院對孫小果等13人組織、領導、參加黑社會性質組織等犯罪一案宣告一審判決，以被告人孫小果犯組織、領導黑社會性質組織罪、開設賭場罪（open gambling houses）、尋釁滋事罪（disturb public order）、非法拘禁罪（illegal detention）、故意傷害罪（intentional injury）、妨害作證罪（obstruct testimony）、行賄罪（offer bribes），數罪併罰，決定執行有期徒刑25年，剝奪政治權利（deprived of his political rights）5年，並處沒收個人全部財產（all his private properties were ordered confiscated）；以被告人（defendants）顧宏斌、楊朝光等12人犯參加黑社會性質組織罪（take part in organized crimes）等罪，數罪併罰，決定執行二年零六個月到十五年不等有期徒刑，並處罰金。
