This little creature seemed keen to be photographed - even for a quokka.

這個小傢伙看起來很愛拍照喔--即使它是一隻短尾矮袋鼠。

Campbell Jones, from Landsdale, WA, caught one of the famously photogenic marsupials leaping towards his camera with a big smile on its face.

來自西澳洲蘭茲代爾地區的坎貝爾·瓊斯抓拍了向來以愛拍照有名的短尾矮袋鼠的一張可愛近照，它嘴角綻開着燦爛的笑容，向他的相機跳躍過來。

He told Perth Now the quokka chased after him as he was biking on Rottnest Island, and that it jumped at his GoPro camera after he put down the device.

瓊斯在接受《珀斯在線》採訪時表示，當他在羅特內斯特島騎行時，這隻短尾矮袋鼠一直跟着他。待他停好車後，這個小傢伙一下跳到了他的運動相機的鏡頭前。

Asked on his Instagram page what he reckons made the animal come up to him, Mr Jones teasingly wrote: 'My good looks I think.'

當有人在他的Instagram主頁問起，他覺得爲何這隻短尾矮袋鼠會跟着他時，瓊斯幽默地說：“也許是因爲我長得太好看吧。”

He posted the picture four weeks ago, but it started getting more attention online after it was featured on the quokka appreciation page Instaquokka last Sunday.

他四周前就將這些照片上傳到網上了，不過直到上週日，照片被特別分享到短尾矮袋鼠愛好者賬戶Instaquokka後，才引起了更多人的關注。

'Okay this is the cutest image I have ever seen,' one commentator wrote.

Another declared that the photo 'makes the world a better place.'
