張家界玻璃橋全球徵名 入選名稱1字1萬

A contest has began to come up with a name for the world's longest and highest glass bridge in China's Hunan province.

一場爲位於中國湖南省的世界上最長、最高玻璃橋的全球徵名活動已經正式開啓。

The glass bridge, which is built at a height of about 300 meters. More than 70 glass balls, each weighing 750 kg, have been installed randomly to counter sympathetic vibration. The bridge is expected to open to the public before May 2016.

這座玻璃橋長430米,寬6米,橋面距谷底相對高度約300米,玻璃橋上不規則地放置着70多個玻璃球,每個玻璃球重達750公斤,有效遏制了人行共振。該橋將於明年5月前對外開放。

The closing date for entries is February 29, next year and it must represent the name in no more than ten Chinese characters. "Zhangjiajie", "Daxiagu" (Grand Canyon) and "glass bridge" will not be counted.

本次徵名活動的截止日期是明年的2月29日,並且要求字數限制在10個(含)以內。“張家界”和“大峽谷”、“玻璃橋”這些字不計算在內。

Suggested names should be original and reflect the unique nature of the structure. Entries must be made through social media app, WeChat.

候選名稱應該是原創的,同時也能反映出這座建築的獨一無二的特點。作品必須通過社交媒體APP--微信來參賽。

Whoever comes up with the winning name will be awarded 10,000 yuan ($1,543.4) for each word, will be invited to the opening ceremony and given the title Denominator of Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge, a lifelong honour allowing the winner to visit Zhangjiajie for free for life.

無論最終誰想出了最終的名稱,獎勵標準都是一個字一萬元。除此之外,獲獎作者還會被邀請參加開幕儀式並授予“張家界大峽谷玻璃橋命名人”的終身榮譽稱號,且能夠終身免費遊覽張家界大峽谷景區。

Other 1,000 entrants will be chosen at random and invited, along with a family member, on a tour of the location before the end of 2016.

景區還將從投稿作者中隨機抽選1000名幸運者,可在2016年內攜一名家屬免費遊覽張家界大峽谷景區。
