環球之旅:中國新疆湖泊正在消失

Xinjiang's picturesque Lakes are gradually vanishing and may soon be lost as humans make

their presence felt, Urumqi.

由於人類隨心所欲地汲取，新疆烏魯木齊的湖正在逐漸變小，有可能迅速消失。

Rose willows struggle to survive along the edge of Aibi Lake, the largest saltwater lake in

Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. Strong wind and salt marshes near the lake make it one of

the four sources of sandstorms in China.

圖中的紅柳生長在惡劣的自然環境中，它們生長在新疆維吾爾自治區最大的鹹水湖艾比湖邊。由於強風和湖邊的鹽沼，這裏成爲了中國四大沙塵暴天氣發源地之一。

Wild ducks enjoy a comfortable summer in Aibi Lake. A wetland reserve was set up to try to

save the lake.

243 lakes: The number in China have disappeared in the past 50 years, 62 of them were in

Xinjiang. 114 lakes: The number in Xinjiang that cover at least 1 sqkm.
