Court，球場。球到了你的這一方，也就意味着，該你來出手打球。The ball is in your court意思就是“看你的決定了；是你決定的時候了”。比如：

I have done my best to explain my position; now the ball is in your court. 我已經儘量表明我的立場，現在該你採取下一步行動了。

決定不好做。面臨做決定的時候，有些人可能Sit on the fence“騎牆；保持中立”。有些人可能不忙着做決定，打算play it by ear “見機行事；到時候再說”；還有人堅決stick to his guns “堅持最初的計劃”。

讓我們分別在具體語境中體會這幾個習語的用法。

Sit on the fence
