既然開篇說到跟“clear”有關，那我們先來熟悉clear的意思和用法。在這個句子中，clear是動詞，意思是remove something that is unwanted or no longer needed from a place。是指（從某處）移走（不要的東西）。我們來看個例句：
They are clearing snow from the streets. （他們在清除街道上的積雪。） 從上面的這個例句中，表示“從......清除......”，可以用到短語clear something from somewhere。而我們的病句用到的是of，要將它改爲from。因此，我們今天分析的病句的正確表述爲：
They will come to clear the dead tree of the road.
當然，也有clear of的用法，可以表達同樣的意思，但是clear後面接somewhere，of後面接something。例如：The land was cleared of trees.（地上的樹已清除。）因此，我們今天的病句還可以這樣修正：
They will come to clear the road tree of the land.
記住了，如果表述“從某處清楚某物”，可以用到短語：clear something from somewhere或者是clear somewhere of something。
