"deadbeat"在英語裏就是指賴賬人,不講信用的人或公司,欠錢不還者.

"pay up"就是叫人還清全部欠款的意思,尤其是指欠債人不願意還錢或者拖欠已久的時候.
I had a hard time getting him to pay up. 我好不容易讓他還清了全部欠款.
