"布朗尼加分"口語課堂:請咬着你的舌頭

電影裏見過這樣的場景，某個人不堪忍受嚴刑拷打，還不肯出賣他人，最後選擇了咬舌自盡。不過您別害怕，我們今天要說的雖然和咬舌頭有關，跟自盡就不着邊兒了。英語當中bite your tongue這個固定表達法的意思是keep quiet about something，也就是“閉嘴不說；保守祕密”的意思了。

小對話：

A：Todd, bite your tongue if the boss says something you don't like during the meeting, or you may get fired. 託德, 大會上如果老闆說了不中聽的話，你要保持沉默，否則可能被解僱的。
