To drop someone like a hot potato means to abandon someone or something suddenly and completely, sometimes to avoid potential problems. 用中文來說就是“拋棄，離棄某人或某物”，所以，我們可說爲：drop someone like a hot potato，也可說爲：drop something like a hot potato。
我們來看幾個例句來熟悉它的意思和用法。
