2.“apologize for(doing)sth.”表示“因爲(做了)某事而歉”,例如:He later apologized for his behavior.(後來他爲自己的行爲道了歉。)“apologize for losing my temper.(我爲我發
脾氣的事情道歉。)
3.“recommend”用作“建議,勸告”之意時,通常用於以下3種結構:第一、“recommend + doing”結構,例如: I recommend going by subway.(我建議你坐地鐵去。)第二、“recommend+代/名
詞+to do”結構,例如:The doctor recommended me to take a long rest.(醫生勸我休個長假。)第三、“recommend+that從句”結構,在從句中要使用虛擬語氣,即謂語動詞要用“should+動詞
原形”結構,其中“that”和“should”郝可以省略,例如:The teacher recommended(that)we (should)read the novel.(老師建議我們讀這部小說。)

結賬服務注意事項

1.通常只有在客人用餐完畢要求結賬(“May I have the bill?”)的時候,服務員才能去收銀臺通知收銀員彙總賬單。
2.如果客人在接近停止營業時間時還未要求結賬,這時服務員可以提醒客人營業時間即將結束, “It's near our last order time.”(我們快打烊了。)或者比較委婉地問,“Would you like
something else?” (您還需要什麼嗎?)
3.在外國客人點菜的過程中,應該準確記錄每位客人點菜的內容,並詢問是否分開賬單:
“Would you like separate bills or one bill?”(你們想要分開付賬還是一起付賬?)以便迅速準確地爲每位客人辦理結賬手續。
4.要禮貌地詢問客人想要採取的付款方式:“How would you like to make the payment?”(您想用什麼方式結賬?)
5.要輕聲地告訴客人消費總額,並向客人致謝:“The total is 180 yuan. Thank you!”(總額是180元。謝謝!)
