1.“give(sb.)a discount”的意思是“(給某人)打個折扣”,看下面的例子並注意比較英語漢語中“打折”說法的差異:5% discount(九五折),3%discount(九七折)。另外,“buy sth. at a discount”的意思是“以折扣價購買某物”,例如:Members can buy books at a 20% discount.(會員購買書籍可以打八折。)[qh]
2.“let's say”在口語中常用來作插入語,意爲“譬如,就這麼說吧”,例如:Try to finish the work by,let's say,Friday.(儘量在[qh]

“discount”的意思知多少[qh]
折扣(Discount)是賣方在原價格的基礎上給予買方的一定比例的價格減讓。貨價中的折扣,一般應在合同中註明,這種在價格條款中明確表明折扣的做法,稱爲“明釦”;如果在價格條款中沒有表明折扣而由買賣雙方另行約定折扣的做法,稱爲“暗釦”。暗釦一般屬於不公平競爭。[qh]
使用折扣方式減讓價格,而不直接降低報價,使賣方既保持了商品的價位,又明確表明了給予買方的某種優惠,是一種候鎖手段。[qh]
國際貿易中使用的拆扣名目很多,除一般折扣外,還有爲擴大銷售而使用的數量折扣(Quantity Discount),爲實現某種特殊目的而給予的特別折扣(Special Discount)以及年終回扣(Turnover Bonus)等。[qh]
1.折扣的表示方法[qh]
①用文字來表示:[qh]

③用絕對數來表示:[qh]

③在貿易術語中加註“D” ( Discount)或“R” (Rebate)和折扣率來表示:[qh]

2.折扣的計算方法[qh]
折扣一般按成交額或發票金額來計算。其計算公式爲:[qh]
折扣額=原價×折扣率[qh]
賣方淨收入=原價×(1-折扣率)[qh]
3.折扣的支付方法[qh]
折扣一般是在買方支付貸款時預先予以扣除。也有的折扣金額不直接從貨價中扣除,而按暗中達成的協諶另行支付給買方,這種做法通常在給“暗釦”或“回扣”時採用。[qh]
